The recall covers 77,502 Taurus, Flex, Police Interceptor, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT vehicles in the 2013-2015 model years.
The recall, which covers 868 2013-MY vehicles, also includes Flex, Police Interceptor Utility, Taurus, Lincoln MKS and Lincoln MKT vehicles at risk for fuel leaks.
Included are 2015-2016 model-year Explorer, 2015 Taurus and Flex, 2015 Lincoln MKS and 2015 Lincoln MKT vehicles.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the 2014-2015 model-year Infiniti Q70 sedan a Safety Pick+ award winner. In the small overlap front test, the vehicle maintained the driver space “reasonably well” and the crash test dummy’s movement “was properly controlled,” IIHS said. The automaker issues six separate recalls involving models such as the Edge, Flex, Police Interceptor and Lincoln MKS.
In the biggest recall of the three, Ford is calling back 2013 model-year Ford Explorer, Taurus, Flex, Fusion, and Police Interceptor vehicles as well as Lincoln MKS, MKT, and MKZ vehicles.
