Flooding Closes Over 200 Roads in Missouri

Massive flooding caused by heavy rains in Northeastern Missouri has closed more than 225 roads in the state as the Mississippi River overruns its banks and threatens to break levees in several areas.

DOT Issues $5 Million in Emergency Relief for South Carolina Roads

The Dept. of Transportation announced on Oct. 6 the “immediate availability” of $5 million in emergency relief funds from the Federal Highway Administration to the South Carolina Dept. of Transportation to help repair roads and bridges damaged by the recent rain-driven flooding that has crippled the state.

Houston Flood Damages City Vehicles

Severe weather, tornado, and flooding have affected at least 45 counties in Texas. In Houston, the state's most populous city, flooding has damaged about 66 city fleet vehicles.
