Oomph! Labs introduces its new Hose Tester system, which allows technicians to locate vacuum or pressure leaks in hoses without the need for either electricity or compressed air to power the tool.
The Hose Tester system is designed to work with Hose Candy Sidewinders, which is a quick-coupler system that converts any vacuum or turbo hose connection into a quick disconnect. This tool is not designed to pressure test radiators, heater hoses, or cooling systems.
To use, a technician can quick tee his or her gauge in place, then couple it to the vacuum or pressure hose that needs testing. Then he or she can install the quick plugs and pressurize the hose to determine if there is a leak.
