Wash. County Requesting Bids for Vehicle Replacement
Lewis County (Wash.) issued calls for bids after a local dealer expressed concern over the county's history of purchasing vehicles through state contracts instead of through local bids.

The Lewis County (Wash.) Board of Commissioners approved three bids to replace 16 of the county’s vehicles in 2018, according to The Chronicle.
The calls for bids were issued after a local dealer sent a letter to the Chronicle expressing concern over the county’s history of purchasing vehicles through state purchasing agreements instead of through local bids. Meetings were held betwee the dealership and the county before the call for bids was issued.
Seven pickup trucks, three SUVs, and six sheriff’s patrol vehicles are slated to be replaced.
