ALBANY, NY – Thomson Delmar Learning, a provider of lifelong learning products and services for the healthcare, technology and trades, and career education markets and part of Thomson Learning, has released version 1.2 of ChiltonPRO. ChiltonPRO provides professionals with access to all of Chilton’s automotive repair information either online or in a set of DVDs.
Many new features and content updates highlight this latest version. Three types of updated labor times — Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) warranty time, Chilton standard, and severe times — are now available for 2006 and 2007 models. In addition, older model labor times have been researched and revised in this new edition, as needed.
Diagnostic and repair data has been updated, including Technical Services Bulletins (TSBs). Existing ChiltonPRO DVD-ROM and Chilton Labor Guide CD-ROM customers can now migrate their local customer databases to ChiltonPRO.com. Company logos can be added to printer-friendly estimates and in an effort to help save paper, customers can print more precise amounts of diagnostic content. To locate specific components and repairs more quickly, a new search feature has been added. Improved ChiltonPRO help functions make it simple to set up users, customize settings, even reset and retrieve ChiltonPRO passwords.
The ChiltonPRO comprehensive service information system includes OEM TSBs and maintenance schedules that allow technicians to recommend services to customers before more extensive issues arise. Chilton’s labor times, step-by-step procedures, helpful illustrations, and critical specifications exist in a single, simple, electronic resource to answer all technical information needs and make repairs go more smoothly.
