UNICOR to Assemble EVs for U.S. Federal Government Fleet Customers
LEXINGTON, KY – UNICOR is partnering with Miles Electric Vehicle and Futuris Enterprise to assemble electric cars and trucks.
LEXINGTON, KY – UNICOR is partnering with Miles Electric Vehicle and Futuris Enterprise to assemble electric cars and trucks. UNICOR is a government corporation that provides job training skills to inmates within the federal correctional institutions system. The Miles EV neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs) will be sold to UNICOR’s U.S. federal government customers.
UNICOR said it also intends to produce and offer a level 2 charger to go with each electric vehicle delivery. The NEVs will be made exclusively in the United States and in facilities which have a long history performing vehicle "upfit and refurbishment" for the Department of Defense and federal law enforcement agencies, according to the organizations.
