BRYAN, TEXAS – The cities of Bryan and College Station, Texas, and both school districts, along with the City of Hearne and Texas A&M University, have entered into a partnership to purchase both gasoline and diesel fuel for their fleets. The partnership allows them a lower price by buying in bulk, according to the Web site www.theeagle.com/. But even with the price savings, some partners still are going overbudget, according to the report. The College Station school district already has used up an entire year’s budget on eight months’ worth of gas. The school district currently spends about $24,000 a month to drive its 52 buses and 40 other vehicles.
