The Santa Fe Police Department, N.M., has ordered new in-vehicle cameras as part of its plan to upgrade its entire fleet to an integrated solution from Digital Ally, including in-car, motorcycle, and body-worn cameras, the vendor has announced.
The department has ordered 27 DVM-800 in-car systems and three DVM-440 Ultra motorcycle cameras to replace DVM-500 Plus legacy in-car video systems. Digital Ally has supplied the agency with in-car video equipment since 2008.
As part of its full-fleet upgrade, the agency has already ordered over 120 body-worn cameras and docking stations, 85 in-car digital video systems, and about 40 VuLink connectivity systems, which offer "hands-free activation" of its body-worn and in-vehicle cameras to capture footage from multiple angles.
