What happens after a fleet reaches No. 1? For Elite Fleets, the work continues through leadership, innovation, and a long-term commitment to advancing public fleet operations.
Government Fleet
Government Fleet magazine recognized the 2026 Elite Fleets at the Government Fleet Expo & Conference (GFX) in Long Beach, California.
The Elite Fleets are fleets that have been previously recognized as No. 1. They continue to maintain excellence within their own operations and agree to judge this award.
Each fleet is recognized during the Honors Celebration at GFX. Next year's event takes place June 15 - 18, 2027 at theCobb Convention Center Atlanta.
This year's Elite Fleets are:
- The City of Raleigh, North Carolina: Leading Ideas from a Leading Fleet
- Dakota County, Minnesota: Dakota County Named No. 1 Leading Fleet
- The City of Tallahassee, Florida: Lessons from Tallahassee: 2025’s No. 1 Leading Fleet
- Long Beach, California: Exploring How Long Beach Rose to Become an Industry Leader
