Demonstrators in Gotham, N.Y., have vandalized roughly 300 cop cars and caused nearly $1 million in damages to NYPD vehicles since the start of the George Floyd protests, according to a report by The New York Post.
Of 310 vehicles, 282 have been fixed up and put back into the rotation while 14 had to be scrapped altogether, according to police officials. The remaining 14 NYPD vehicles are still in the shop.
The price for repairs came to $996,702, with around 180 mechanics and assistants who “worked around the clock to get the vehicles back on the road.”
