Plug In America, the nation’s leading organization in electric vehicle consumer advocacy, has announced the launch of its new website.

The new website provides quick and intuitive access to extensive electric vehicle information for consumers, policymakers, and media. The website features an electric vehicle database and a state and federal incentive map for prospective buyers.

"We envision this site as a one-stop shop for all things connected to electric vehicles," said Joel Levin, executive director of Plug In America. "We’ve been working on it for months. People can find the newest vehicles and charging equipment, find incentives by state, get connected to the EV community, and learn about policy developments. Everything is written by EV drivers for EV drivers. And because we’re a public interest organization, we’re not trying to sell folks anything. We’re just providing accurate, objective information about EVs to the public."

Other website features include:

  • Electric vehicle sales count

  • Advocacy tools

  • Real-life stories from drivers who’ve transitioned to electric cars

  • Portal to discover local electric vehicle clubs throughout the country

  • Detailed information on vehicle charging equipment

Plug In America drives change to accelerate the shift to plug-in vehicles powered by clean, affordable, domestic electricity to reduce our nation's dependence on petroleum, improve air quality, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. With partners Electric Auto Association and Sierra Club, the organization is co-presenting National Drive Electric Week, a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today's widespread availability of plug-in vehicles, from September 10-18. Support for the event includes national sponsor Nissan LEAF and media partner PlugShare.
