ALTOONA, PA – The Penn Bus Maintenance Education Program will be held in Altoona, Pa., on Sept. 25-26. Hosted by Amtran, this year’s program includes 15 presentations on technology, regulation, service, and new products. Other topics and events include:

• Ultra low sulfur diesel and soy diesel fuels.
  

• Federal and state EPA requirements.
  

• What engine manufacturers — such as John Deere, Cummins, and Caterpillar — are doing to meet the 2007-2010 emission requirements.
  

• Gas electric hybrids.
  

• Update and tour of Altoona’s bus testing facilities.
  

• Vendors displays and free meals and refreshments.
