An Oklahoma police department will benefit from a new partnership between drone manufacturer Skydio and fleet management software company AirData.
David Roberts with the Oklahoma City Police Department said the department has used AirData for several years, and just recently introduced Skydio. The two offer unique capabilities critical to his team’s mission, he said.
An API-driven integration will allow AirData to automatically retrieve the flight data from Skydio drones. The data will then be used to meet compliance requirements, track maintenance and discover early signs of problems, and provide detailed operational reports to users of the system.
The interface will also offer 1-second latency over standard mobile hotspots, providing real-time visibility for remote viewers, according to a press release.
The partnership between the two will see the integration of Skydio 2, Skydio X2, and the Skydio 2+ drones into the AirData platform, with the addition of live-streaming drone footage coming soon.
