Ohio State University is building a $2.5 million compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station to power its four CNG buses and additional vehicles that will be converted to run on the natural gas, Columbus Business First reported.
The university issued a request for qualification for an architect/engineer on Tuesday. According to the RFQ, the station will be used to provide fast fill to a variety of light and heavy vehicles.
The station would be located at the university’s main campus in Columbus. The City of Columbus has already invested in CNG fueling stations, opening its second station in the city in July 2014.
