HAUPPAUGE, NY – Odyne Corporation CEO Roger Slotkin was a featured speaker at the kickoff event of the Greater Long Island Clean Cities 2007 Seminar Series, “Alternative Fuels in the Carting Industry.” Slotkin addressed local officials, carting industry executives, and environmental advocates on potential project applications.
Various vehicles were on display at the event, hosted by the Town of Huntington, including a municipal waste truck upfitted with Odyne’s hybrid electric technology for the Town of Hempstead. Also addressing those in attendance were local officials, including program managers for the largest compressed natural gas refuse fleet on the East Coast, the Town of Smithtown, which recently passed requirements mandating clean fuel refuse trucks for its entire fleet, and the Town of Brookhaven, another leader in clean, domestic fuel usage.
