N.M. County to Change Personnel Policy on Vehicle Use
SOCORRO, NM – The County Commission of Socorro County, N.M., revised the personnel policy covering vehicle use, according to the El Defensor Chieftain.
SOCORRO, NM – The County Commission of Socorro County, N.M., revised the personnel policy covering vehicle use, according to the El Defensor Chieftain. The commission approved the changes on May 10. In the amended policy, no county vehicle will be taken out of Socorro County without the permission of elected officials or department heads. The policy also states that county vehicles shall not be used for personal business, "except as in incidental in commuting." Plus, passengers in a county vehicle, who are not employees of the county, must sign a waiver of liability prior to riding in the vehicle.
