Napa, Calif. Fleet Division Earns 'Green' Designation and Renews ASE Blue Seal Certification
NAPA, CA – The City of Napa, Calif.’s fleet management division has launched into the New Year with a renewed ASE Blue Seal of Excellence certification and a new “green” designation from the State of California.
NAPA, CA – The City of Napa, Calif.’s fleet management division has launched into the New Year with a renewed ASE Blue Seal of Excellence certification and a new “green” designation from the State of California.
This is the third year in a row that Napa’s fleet management division has received the ASE Blue Seal certification.
“We are proud to be part of an exclusive group of service providers that are committed to technician training and certification,” said Chris Burgeson, fleet manager for the City of Napa. “This is no easy task, as it requires that each area of service offered in the shop be covered by at least one ASE-certified technician. It also requires that at least 75% of our technicians be ASE-certified.”
The new designation the City’s fleet management division received, that of “California Certified Green Station” from the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), recognizes the City’s efforts to prevent pollution in its vehicle repair and service operations.
To achieve this designation, the City had to perform a shop assessment and make needed changes; implement required pollution-prevention measures; provide pollution prevention training for employees; and score at least 100 points on the Vehicle Service & Repair Checklist.
“We are proud of our accomplishments and will continue to strive for a high level of performance and excellence from our entire staff,” Burgeson said.
