N.Y. Mechanic Pleads Guilty to Personal Use of Fleet Funds

A former New York state employee has pleaded guilty after he was caught using a government-issued credit card for personal purchases, reports CBS 6 Albany. He paid about $2,500 in restitution for his purchases and resigned from his position.
Investigators said Daniel Sequin, a former mechanic with the State of New York's Office of General Services, purchased $2,561 in parts for his personal vehicle as well as those of a fellow employee and a co-worker's wife. In addition, he was accused of tampering with physical evidence and filing fraudulent paperwork in an attempt to conceal his thefts, reports The Citizen.
