Missouri Governor Accepts E-85 Hybrid for State Fleet
JEFFERSON CITY, MO – A new Ford E-85 Escape Hybrid, made at the Claycomo, Mo., plant, has joined the fleet of state cars.
JEFFERSON CITY, MO – A new Ford E-85 Escape Hybrid, made at the Claycomo, Mo., plant, has joined the fleet of state cars. Governor Blunt took the keys to the vehicle this week at the State Fair in Sedalia, touting the benefits of ethanol as a boost to the environment and to Missouri farmers, according to the Web site www.brownfieldnetwork.com.
“I think it makes a lot of sense to get our fuel from Missouri farmers, farmers in the heartland of America rather than tyrants that hate the United States and hate Americans and hate everything we stand for,” he said, as quoted by www.brownfieldnetwork.com.
Ford’s Escape Hybrid that runs on E-85 is not available to the public. Also this week, Ford donated three other E-85 Escape hybrids to Kansas City Power & Light.
