The Saginaw County (Mich.) Sheriff's Department has equipped its 32 patrol vehicles with retro beacon lights that use brighter LED lighting to increase visibility, reports MLive.com.
The agency installed Code 3 Arch Beacon LED lights on its 32 cars to replace halogen beacon lights, after deputies expressed concerns about a lack of visibility. Agency vehicles that used traditional lightbars didn't provide "true 360-degree visibility," according to the agency.
