MANVILLE, NJ - Police officers and firefighters protested a resolution that would have limited use of take-home vehicles.
MANVILLE, NJ – A Borough Council meeting in the Borough of Manville drew a crowd of police officers and firefighters who protested a resolution that would have limited take-home use of Borough vehicles, according to an article on CentralJersey.com.
The resolution would have limited Borough-owned vehicle use to the police chief and director of public works, and an officer with K9 responsibilities, and was set to go into effect on July 5. According to the article, the resolution was pulled from the agenda for further discussion.
The resolution came about due to concerns over personal use of these vehicles.
