Town of Brusly, La., Police Chief Jamie Whaley has announced that he will resign from his position following a recent indictment on charges of fuel theft. Whaley was accused of using a fleet fuel card to fuel his personal truck and personal boat, with charges totaling $1,120 between January 2013 and January 2014, The Advocate reports.
The evidence against him includes a document listing 29 transactions, fuel receipts Whaley had signed, and multiple video recordings. He has admitted to illegally using the card.
