JACKSONVILLE, FL – The City of Jacksonville is facing a $3 million increase in fuel costs for 2011. According to a news report in the Florida Times Union, the City’s fleet management division is budgeted to spend $20.9 million on fuel costs. The City’s fleet consists of 5,600 vehicles and equipment, and fuel costs will make up more than half of fleet management’s $39.6 million budget for the year.
