The City of Hobart, Ind., opened a time-fill compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station and showcased its new CNG-compliant maintenance garage at its Public Works facility.
In order to accommodate the addition of CNG vehicles, the city needed more space and an up-to-date facility. In 2017, the Chicago Tribune reported that construction of the garage and fueling station was financed for $1.45 million. At the time, it was reported that the new facility would be more than double the size of the current garage, and would include additional bays and a more adequate heating system.
