The Virginia Beach (Virginia) Police Department has added mobile video recorders in 215 marked police department vehicles. The Axon Fleet 3 Mobile Video Recorders (MVRs) will capture activity in front of the vehicles, as well as inside the vehicles, according to a press release. The MVRs will be able to film any activity in the rear seat of the vehicles.
In addition to the Axon Body Worn Cameras, the MVRS will provide an additional view or vantagepoint to document the interaction between police officers and the community.
