ROCHESTER, NY- The Rochester, N.Y., Housing Authority will auction off a third of its 65-vehicle fleet and has imposed stricter ethics policies and new whistleblower protections as part of a house-cleaning effort within the authority, according to the Democrat & Chronicle.
In addition to ethics changes, the board approved shedding 25 vehicles and selling hundreds of surplus items in inventory at an auction scheduled for Oct. 2. The fleet reduction is projected to save the authority $49,600 a year, according to the news source.
