HOUSTON, TEXAS – H2Diesel Holdings Inc., a company that manufactures an alternative biofuel from domestically produced vegetable oils and animal fats, and the City of Orlando, Fla., have entered into a vehicle test program to demonstrate the capabilities of the company’s proprietary biofuel in fleet vehicle applications. The test, to be carried out over the next several months, will be conducted using a vehicle in the City’s truck fleet and will include a comprehensive series of performance and tailpipe emissions tests, according to Reuters.
Dave Gillespie, president and CEO of H2Diesel stated, “We’re excited to be working along with the City of Orlando as they implement a very aggressive program to reduce the environmental impact of all of the City’s operations. We believe our second generation renewable biofuel represents an environmentally superior and lower cost alternative to other more traditional biofuels,” as quoted by Reuters.
“We are very glad to have H2Diesel as a partner in our ‘Green Works Orlando’ program,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “We believe H2Diesel’s 100 percent renewable biofuel can assist the City in our effort to move our entire fleet of vehicles to renewable fuels by 2012.”
