The General Services Administration has extended a request for information for electric vehicle charging station equipment to Jan. 8 so it can receive additional contractor input, reports the Federal Times.
The agency must start reducing greenhouse gas emissions from federal fleet vehicles in 2016 under an executive order from President Obama introduced in March. The GSA must increase hybrid and electric vehicles to 20% of new acquisitions by 2020 and 50% in 2025.
The request seeks an end-to-end system with Level II charging, vehicle transaction data, and easy data collection.
