GM Introduces Police Chevrolet Silverado
General Motors will begin offering its 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab with a special service package for law enforcement agencies this summer, the automaker has announced.

General Motors will begin offering its 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab with a special service package for law enforcement agencies this summer, the automaker has announced.
Agencies will be able to purchase the Silverado Special Service Vehicle (SSV) that's been configured for law enforcement duty cycles with a 5.3L EcoTec3 V-8 engine and an upgraded electrical system.
The vehicle is available in 1WT or 1LS trim levels and rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. Police agencies can choose a standard 6-foot-6-inch pickup box or 5-foot-8-inch box.
A flex-fuel option for running E85 fuel is available.
The Silverado SSV also includes an auxiliary transmission oil cooler, high-capacity air cleaner, 170-amp high-output alternator, 730-CCA auxiliary battery, 110-volt outlet, and four upfitter switches with electrical power supply.
Optional features include a driver or passenger-side spotlight; wiring for grille, lamp, and sirens; flasher system for headlights and taillights; common key package; vinyl rear seats; front center seat delete; auxiliary dome lamp; electric four-wheel-drive switch; daytime running lamps delete; and rear-view camera.
