DETRIOT – Wayne State University’s (WSU’s) fuel cell-powered police patrol vehicle has made its first meaningful law enforcement contribution, according to the Web site www.fuelcelltoday.com
A patrol officer driving a Mercedes F-Cell police car apprehended a student driver on her way to class who had failed to take heed of a stop sign. The traffic stop was made by Sergeant Frank Smith, who admitted the car — equipped with a siren, WSU police department logos, and police lights — often attracts attention from civilians.
