Former Fleet Supervisor Failed to Pay for Used Vehicle from Vendor
PLYMOUTH, MA - A former Plymouth County Sheriff's Deputy has been fined $1,500 by the State Ethics Commission for violating the Massachusetts conflict of interest law.
PLYMOUTH, MA - A former Plymouth County Sheriff's Deputy (PCSD) has been fined $1,500 by the State Ethics Commission for violating the Massachusetts conflict of interest law, according to a statement by the State Ethics Commission.
Former PCSD Fleet Supervisor Daniel Rowan has admitted to violating the law and has paid the civil penalty.
The fine stems from Rowan acquiring a used 1999 Crown Victoria from Municipal Headquarters, Inc.(MHQ) - a vendor that supplies vehicles and equipment to the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department.
MHQ sent an invoice to Rowan requesting payment of $800 for the vehicle, but Rowan never paid for it.
Rowan never disclosed that information to the sheriff's office and continued to do business with the company, according to the State Ethics Commission.
