Mike Brennan
Mike Brennan, CEM, fleet services division manager for Manatee County, Fla., has announced he will retire after 39 years in the fleet industry. His last day is June 22.
Brennan is responsible for overseeing nearly 1,500 vehicles and pieces of equipment. The fleet division consists of 36 staff members working at four fleet facilities.
Brennan was named a finalist for the 2017 and 2015 Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year award, led the fleet to re-obtain its ASE Blue Seal of Excellence after a lapse, and has been consistently named among the Leading Fleets. This year, the division was ranked 12.
“After 39 years I’d like to think I’ve had many successful accomplishments. However, I feel I’ve been instrumental in preparing Manatee County Fleet Services for the future through facility replacements and renovations as well as succession planning of staff,” he said.

Matt Case
Although he is retiring, Brennan plans to continue to work in fleet, either with a consulting group or by returning to a fleet management position.
Replacing him is Matt Case, who was named one of Government Fleet magazine’s 20 under 40 in 2016. He began on June 9.
