The City of West Palm Beach, Fla., near to President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, is seeking $1.1 million to purchase new police equipment due to the increased security demands of Trump's frequent visits, myPalmBeachPost reported. The city is seeking funds to help purchase an incident response truck, an incident command vehicle, and a police patrol boat.
The incident response truck would provide medical supplies such as stretchers, tourniquets, and generators to treat a large number of victims. The incident command vehicle would be used as a command center for local and federal authorities during protests, special events, acts of terrorism, etc.
