The City of Coconut Creek, Fla., is changing its fleet maintenance provider after 10 years. Vector Fleet Management won a competitive five-year contract to manage the city’s 577-unit fleet. Vector will use the TMT fleet management information system at Coconut Creek.
Vector plants to convert two transit buses from diesel to propane autogas, with more conversions expected in the next five years.
The company took over the outsourced contract from another provider on Nov. 1, 2018. The contract includes five additional one-year periods.
This article was updated 3/19/19 with corrections. A press release from Vector had inaccurate information about alternative fuel plans and fleet size. The city does not plan to purchase hybrid or compressed natural gas vehicles.
