The Federal Emergency Management Agency may be preoccupied with Hurricane Florence, but its administrator Brock Long has another issue to worry about: He is under investigation for allegations that he misused government vehicles by commuting between Washington, D.C., and his home in North Carolina for months.
According to a report from Politico, the Inspector General for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking into whether Long misused government resources and personnel by using a staff driver and fleet vehicle to drive from Washington, D.C., to his home in North Carolina on weekends. During a FEMA briefing, Long told Politico that he planned to cooperate with the investigation.
