Energy Xtreme Named as Finalist for Platts 2011 Commercial Technology of the Year
AUSTIN, TX - Energy Xtreme's systems provide power to operate a vehicle's electrical needs without engaging the vehicle's engine. This allows for increased vehicle performance resulting in significant fuel and maintenance savings while reducing emissions.
AUSTIN, TX - Energy Xtreme, a provider of mobile electric power solutions with idle reduction capability, is proud to announce it is a finalist for the 2011 Platts Energy Commercial Technology of the Year Award. The award focuses on practical applications of new technologies in the clean-energy sector.
Energy Xtreme was nominated for the award due to its commercialization of an innovative form of mobile energy storage that utilizes an intelligent power management component for enhanced performance and reliability. These systems provide superior power to operate a vehicle's electrical needs, including lights, camera, computer, power tools, and hydraulic systems, without engaging the vehicle's engine. This allows increased performance for fleets resulting in significant fuel and maintenance savings while reducing emissions. Currently, these systems are used in organizations such as AT&T, Centerpoint Energy, New York Department of Transportation and Los Angeles County Public Works, as well as other city and state departments nationwide.
"We congratulate our finalists and look forward to spotlighting their accomplishments and all others when we unveil the Global Energy Awards winners in December." said Larry Neal, president of Platts.
Energy Xtreme is also a finalist in Forbes Most Promising Companies in America and was presented with the 2011 NTEA Green Work Truck Award earlier this year.
