The City of Dublin, Ohio, Fleet Management Division has added four more snowplows to its fleet that run on compressed natural gas (CNG). A grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency helped fund the Freightliner snowplows, which are equipped with Cummins Westport near-zero-emissions natural gas engines.
“These units will bring Dublin’s total number of CNG vehicles to 67,” said John Hyatt, interim fleet director for the City of Dublin. “Currently in our fleet we have a total of 22 snowplows. We will continue to replace our older fleet of snowplows with the CNG trucks as we can.”
