GRAND ISLAND, NE – The City of Grand Island, Neb. appointed John Collins as public works director, which includes supervision of the Fleet Services division in addition to Engineering, Solid Waste, Streets, and Wastewater Treatment.
GRAND ISLAND, NE – The City of Grand Island, Neb. appointed John Collins as public works director, which includes supervision of the Fleet Services division in addition to the Engineering, Solid Waste, Streets, and Wastewater Treatment divisions.
The City stated that Collins is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana and the State of Nebraska. His background includes 25 years of in different statewide engineering and management positions with the State of Louisiana’s Department of Transportation. He managed a staff of 89 employees and a budget of $40 million, and worked in the rehabilitation effort in Louisiana following hurricane Katrina. His employment began on March 14.
