City of San Antonio to Optimize Fuel Operations
SAN ANTONIO – Ward's Automated Fuel Management System will provide the city fuel management technology and services for over 1,000 city vehicles and 11 fueling sites.
SAN ANTONIO– The City of San Antonio has selected Ward's Automated Fuel Management System (Ward AFMS) to provide fuel management technology and services for over 1,000 city vehicles and 11 fueling sites.
"The Ward fuel system reduces manual entry, improves odometer reading controls, and will help reduce fuel costs," said Florencio Pena, director fleet services for the City of San Antonio.
The system will incorporate Ward's CANceiver vehicle diagnostic reporting technology so the City will be able to combine fleet fueling and vehicle data retrieval into one operation enabling fleet optimization through accurate fuel usage reporting. The City can also utilize Ward's suite of eco-friendly services and reports to improve the environmental performance of their fleet assets including reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
"The City will be able to collect vital vehicle data at every fueling, which will provide critical information to improve the City's vehicle preventative maintenance program, while reducing fleet expenses and costs," said Ward COO Troy Goldhammer.
