ROCKLIN, CA - Russ French, senior equipment mechanic for the City of Rocklin, has passed every certification test offered by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). French took his first ASE test in 2005 and now joins the ranks of the best automotive technicians in the world.
French achieved ASE Master Technician certification in seven ASE categories by passing 53 tests in the areas of auto and light trucks,medium and heavy trucks, engine machinist, collision repair and refinish, truck equipment, transit bus, and school bus.

French has had a successful career of more than 30 years in Fleet Services in the U.S. and abroad. He has been a Rocklin city employee for three years and works for General Services in the Fleet Division. As senior equipment mechanic, he is a key member of the service team, providing vehicle maintenance and repair to fleet vehicles.
French is currently enrolled in the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) Program of the NAFA Fleet Management Association. In less than a year, he has completed and passed four of the eight core disciplines to become a CAFM.
