CHICAGO, IL – Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) has expanded its medium truck tire line-up with three new products, including the M860, which is for severe service applications, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine. The M860 can carry extremely heavy loads even at sustained highway speeds of 65 miles per hour. The tire uses a wider casing that spreads the load over a larger area and contains abrasion-resistant sidewall ribs, a chip-resistant compound, and other features. Also new is the Bridgestone M850 On/Off-Highway all-position truck tire that comes with 24/32-inch tread depth and an ultra-wide tread. The tire is engineered for flatbed haulers and dump trucks, among other vehicles. It comes in 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 configurations with H Load Ratings. And BFNT has rolled out the Bridgestone R250 ED truck tire for high-scrub pickup and delivery applications. The R250 ED is available in two sizes: 11R2.5 and 11R24.5, according to Modern Tire Dealer.
