TALLAHASSEE, FL - The City of Tallahassee is conducting a pilot program that converts old cooking oil to biodiesel in an attempt to save the city money and find alternative uses for cooking oils, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.
More than 25 percent of the city's 2,000-unit fleet - which includes fire trucks, lawnmowers, and forklifts - use biodiesel fuel, said Buddy Driggers, parts and fuel supervisor for the City of Tallahassee, reported the Democrat.
