The City of Baltimore has leased four battery-electric cars as part of testing program that could bring the first EVs into the city fleet as a way to lower refueling costs, reports the Baltimore Business Journal.
The city is using a state grant tol fund the three-year program with $52,500, and has also installed several charging stations, including a DC fast charger. The city is considering DC charging, so slower charging wouldn't hamper work flow.
