The City of Asheville, N.C. announced on its blog that two of its Fleet Division technicians, and a shop supervisor, are now certified to inspect vehicles with compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems. Two technicians who received certification are Darryl Rice and Rob Martin, according to the blog. Kevin Haughinberry is the shop supervisor for the Fleet Division and he also went through the certifcation process.
Each of the completed a program though Blue Ridge Community College and passed a certification exam administered by the CSA Group, which is an industry standards developer for alternative-fuel vehicles.
