PHOENIX - An investigation of government agency fleets in Arizona shows many cars, trucks, and vans are not being utilized, according to KPHO.
According to state guidelines, a government vehicle should be used a minimum of 10,000 to 15,000 miles per year to justify the cost of acquiring and maintaining it. But 5 Investigates found 341 state vehicles failed to meet that standard and dozens more from the City of Phoenix - costing taxpayers between $20,000 and $25,000, 5 Investigates reported.
