APWA Congress Attracts 8,000 Attendees
SAN ANTONIO – American Public Works Congress and Exposition took place in San Antonio, Texas from Sept. 9–12. It was the second largest congress with 8,000 attendees and 450 exhibitors.

ZAP Electric Cars and Invers Mobile Solutions awarded a check for $500 in a raffle on Sept. 11th. The winner was Al Williams, Department of Environmental Services, General Services Division, Equipment Bureau, Arlington, Va.
The “Thought leaders” sessions were a new addition this year. These were interactive sessions designed to exchange ideas on subjects that affect the future of public works. The emphasis was on committed professionals doing strategic planning to better meet the needs of the ultimate bosses, the taxpayers.
