PASADENA, CA - CALSTART, a California-based clean transportation consortium, launched a natural gas vehicle cooperative purchasing program that allows public and private fleets in the U.S. to purchase natural gas vehicles through a dealer competitive bidding process. The vehicles are all certified by the California Air Resources Board.

The program is available in Arizona, Nevada and California, but there are plans for a possible expansion to other states.

According to NGV Global, the vehicles that will be available through the CALSTART NGV Co-op include the following, and more may become available later:

Ford E-450 shuttle bus

Ford Crown Victoria

Ford F-150 pickup

Ford F-250 pickup

Ford van

Ford E-350 cutaway

GMC Topkick

GMC Sierra pickup

Honda Civic GX

Chevrolet Express Van

Chevrolet Silverado pickup
