HENDERSONVILLE – Henderson County Sheriff’s Department’s is repainting patrol cars black and white, replacing the previous solid-white color scheme, according to the Henderson Citizen-Times. The solid white has not been effective, according to Sheriff Rick Davis. He hopes a traditional black-and-white color scheme will catch more eyes.

The new paint job is part of an overhaul of the fleet that also includes fewer cars, potentially life-saving gadgets, and a move away from gas-guzzling SUVs. One of this year’s order of 26 new sedans is already on the roads.
