MADISON, IN – The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has ordered 46 Rotary Lift MOD30 inground lifts for installation in its bus maintenance facilities throughout the metro Washington, D.C., area. The lifts will be used to service WMATA’s fleet of approximately 1,500 buses of various sizes. Rotary Authorized Installer B & R Associates of Gaithersburg, Md., will begin installing the first lifts in May. The project will continue over a two-year period. WMATA is replacing its existing traditional two-post inground lifts, most of which are at least 20 years old.
