AssetWorks, a provider of integrated fleet management software solutions, announced a virtual software training event to replace its annual AssetWorks Academy User Conference, which was canceled on March 11 due to COVID-19 concerns.
The in-person AssetWorks Academy was set to take place from April 5-9 in Hollywood, Calif. Following reports on COVID-19 from the World Health Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control (CDC) and numerous state and local health departments across the country, AssetWorks canceled the physical event and immediately began working on a virtual solution.
“The decision to cancel the in-person Academy did not come without careful, deliberate consideration,” said Rob Hallett, general manager at AssetWorks, “The health and safety of our customers, employees, and their own communities is our number one goal, but we still wanted to provide our customers with an effective software training event.”
The Virtual Academy is a free, two-day training event on April 7-8, containing 25 live training sessions and even more pre-recorded, on-demand training videos, all presented by AssetWorks software experts.
“With the Virtual Academy, our customers will be able to learn about their software solutions from our internal experts, regardless of when, where, or how they will be working during this period of social distancing,” continued Hallett, “Whether a customer is working from home or from their offices, they will be able to access this free training.”
